Meet the Principal
Principal Matthew Takimoto
I'm so excited to be continuing my journey as a member of the Glenview family! After graduating from UC Berkeley's Developmental Teacher Education program, I joined Glenview as a first grade teacher in 2015 (the final year of the OG Glenview building). After teaching first grade, fourth grade, fifth grade, and the 4/5 combo, I feel truly honored to be given the responsibility of leading Glenview's next chapter. My core values as an Oakland educator are accessibility and inclusion for all students, and fostering lifelong learners who are curious, skeptical, and creative. Go Griffins!
