Additional Support
We have several systems at Glenview that work together to support all types of learners. If there is an academic or social emotional concern, the teacher will refer the student to our Coordination of Student Services team (COST), which consists of the principal, the Teacher on Special Assignment, the Community Schools Manager, and representatives from the Special Education staff. The COST team triages referrals and recommends services. The journey to support services usually starts with a Student Support Team (SST) meeting with the teacher and family. We follow a Response-to-Intervention model where we monitor interventions and progress to decide whether assessment for Special Education or a 504 plan is appropriate.
