To pay for important programs such as literacy support, classroom supplies, music, and PE, Glenview's PTA hosts two major fundraisers each year.
Griffin Fund (Fall)
The Griffin Fund is a direct request to Glenview families for support. There is a suggested donation, since everyone's financial situation is unique. If you're fortunate enough to give more, please do – not every family is able to donate. The funds support programs that maintain Glenview’s high level of academic excellence and foster discovery, joy, and growth.
Read-a-Thon (Spring)
A reading marathon going strong for 25+ years! Glenview students read every day and ask family, friends and neighbors to support their efforts via donations. Community events like Family Reading Night keep the fun going throughout the Read-a-Thon.
Why Give
With budget cuts and continuing headwinds for public education, Glenview Elementary is more reliant on donations from the community than ever before. In fact, donations from parents, community members, and local businesses usually make up more than $300,000 a year spent on academic and enrichment programs at Glenview.
Where does the money go? It directly benefits the students by supporting essential educational programs like literacy interventions, music, PE teachers, mental health interns, classroom supplies, field trip funds, and lots more.

Give Time
The Fundraising Committee is small group of volunteers who raises the bulk of the funds for the PTA. Here's some examples of work our committee does:

Writing to donors, flyers, e-mail communication
- Editing our outgoing communication
- Marketing/advertising each fundraising event
- Campaign/event planning/decorating
- Contacting local businesses
- Outreach with the school community, etc.
